THE LIES OF COBU AND STEWART TRAIL

In this section, we thought that it would be a good idea to explore some of the lies that we told ourselves, and each other; and lies that Stewart Traill told the body, and ones that he told members privately, that later became known to others.

Some of these lies were stated by Cobu openly.

Some of them were unwritten.

Some were inferred.

Lying had become a wholesale institution in the church, encouraged by the leadership, and one another.

The institutional lying became part of the church's customs, norms, and traditions.

The saddest thing about the lies is that we believed them, totally, without question.

We have found that many who have been far gone from the church are still greatly affected by the lies of COBU, to this day.

Most have no idea of how or where to get free from his grip or the grip of these thoughts and beliefs.
